Windows 10: DIY laptop battery: Battery Calibration / Design Capacity reset help

Hello all,This is my first question here so forgive me if I overstep.I built a custom battery for my Asus G14 laptop and the cells in the new battery have a 30% higher capacity than the original battery. How I did this was I removed each individual cell from the original battery, kept the stock BMS, and soldered new cells to the BMS. I confirmed everything was working properly before installing. I've left the bottom cover off my laptop to check voltages of the battery. Upon initial charge, I noticed windows would get to 100% but the battery would still charge for a good hour or two at around 3

My Battery Design Capacity Changed?

I have interesting problem.

In the past my laptop battery life was just 1 hour and then I searced why this thing is so low and, I noticed my laptop battery capacity is 24.000mWh.

I did calibration my battery and this amounth decreased 20.000mWh. After that yesterdey my laptop battery increased 29.000mWh.

My real capacity is 60.000 mWh. That`s why windows is using just %50 portion of my battery.

How can I change this amounth?

Current amounths from diagnostic:

Current Battery Value: 17.850mWh

Full Charged Capacity: 29.184 mWh

Designed Capacity: 29.184 mWh

 

Is my battery wear level high? How do you do a battery calibration?

As for your concern, what battery calibration are you referring to?

It is normal for a battery to lose its original design capacity as time goes by with the charge and discharge cycle. Using any kind of software to do a battery calibration will not help you regain the lost battery capacity. However, you can run the built-in
power troubleshooter. To do this, follow the steps below:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
  
• Click View all.
  
• Select Power and run the troubleshooter.

Laptop died suddenly - battery issue


Hi all,
Lately I've had my laptop plugged in a lot because I've been running some design analysis software thats required a long time to solve. Anyway my laptop suddenly just cut off today whilst on battery. Straight away I assumed it was the battery as I had a similar issue back in 2010 with my old device. I've had my current laptop for about 2 and a half years. I ran a battery report which came up with the following information:

• Cycle count: 489
• Design capacity: 48840
• Last full charge: 38373

So its obvious my battery isn't at full capacity as expected. However, could this be the cause of it randomly losing power? I'm thinking more of a calibration issue. Any ideas on how to calibrate?
