Windows 10: DL speed lower than UL speed

I am using a 5Ghz wifi router and my upload speed is twice as fast as my download speeds on my HP laptop. Yes, Smartbyte was pre-installed, which I removed now.

After re-boot of the laptop, smartbyte was not found again.

But it didn't help anyway in improving the DL speed while connected on 802.11ac mode. It gets limited below 10Mbps, while UL is measured as 115Mbps.

What's surprising is that when I change my network to 802.11b,g,n the same laptop connected to the same router gives an Avg UL/DL speeds of 50-60MBps.

The above facts make it more complex to understand the reason. Typically Smartbyte hampers the UL as many people have written on the forum, but in my case, its the DL which is getting blocked.

The same radio card****n or 802.11ac. The typical UL speeds measured are 50-60MBps or 115Mbps respectively.

Please advise.

Thanks for the time taken by you and sending a detailed list of DOs to try.

I tried all, but with no change.

While I connect to the same router on 802.11 b,g,n I can get a speed of UL/DL around 50-60MBPS, but once I connect on 802.11ac (sitting just next to the router), I measure UL speed of 110MBPS, but DL is less than 10MBPS.

Please suggest.

I have recently upgraded my home broadband connection from copper pair to optical fiber of Airtel and am on a 100MBps speed plan. While my other laptop regularly kicks in 100MBps UL and DL speeds, while tested on Ookla speedtest website, this laptop DELL
Inspiron model P24T is showing Download speed of 7MBps and Upload speed of 93.77Mbps.

There must be some setting issue why the download speed is getting blocked.

Can anyone advise?
