    DLL is not found in c++ MFC/Win32 but is found in c++ Console application


    I have a small 50 lines Console application calling on functions defined inside an MSVC DLL which works like a breeze.

    Now, I would like to call on the same functions from an MFC or WinAPI app.

    I use the same, same, same exact calling code - no difference.

    Yet, this time, I get LNK2019 Unresolved reference errors :


    LNK2019 unresolved external symbol Device_Connect referenced in function "public: bool __cdecl MYDEVICE::Connectvoid" ?Connect@MYDEVICE@@QEAA_NXZ Washington C:\Users\roger\source\repos\Washington\Washington.obj 1


    I checked the function names with DependencyWalker and they show as pure "C" with no decorations whatsoever.

    Any help is appreciated.

    msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll in C:\

    Hello back TPU!

    Yesterday I saw two files(msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll) in my C:\ disk folder. What does this mean? I know this two files should be in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 or somewhere in C:\Windows but not in main disk folder. I deleted this files but files appeared again today. Is this a virus or maybe an application? How can I check this?

    msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll in C:\

    they are microsoft visual studio files, leave em alone.

    Just found your problem.
    I tried it on visual studio 2010 it didn't work
    It will work if you add a
    file -> new project -> visual C++ -> win32 -> win32 console application -> empty project
    Copy paste it and it will work. It worked on my pc
    If you have trouble just post your problem or watch the steps again
