  1. DLNA servers under network locations

I had a few DLNA servers (originating from the user accounts on my other desktop) showing up on my laptop under network location. At the time, I right clicked some of these and selected to remove the device. Which made them disappear from the network locations. My intention at the time but I now want to restore these.

The difference to the tutorial linked is I didn't completely suppress the feature via the process above. As I had left some DLNA servers alone and they still show (such as from our windows 7 laptop). How do I go about adding the missing ones back in?

  2. N95 DLNA Server

    Hello

According to wikipedia the N95 has got a DLNA Server. Is this right and can I use it to play over a network to my DLNA Receiver?

    Thanks

Windows 10 DLNA support; 200 object Hard Limit

I have a DLNA Media server and Windows 10 will only allow me to see up-to a maximum of 200 files or folders in the DLNA server directory structure.

If I use Windows Media Player to browse the server then all files and directories are shown.

The Problem occurs if I go to "This PC\Media Library (SERVER)" from Explorer.

I don't want to set up a drive mapping to a network share just to access the content (circumventing DLNA), and I shouldn't have too. This worked fine in Windows 8.1 it seems to be a problem with Windows 10.

Is there a registry entry in Windows 10 that needs changing to get full DLNA functionality back?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I have managed to get mine back by clicking on "Access Media" in the ribbon for "This PC" in Explorer, followed by "Connect to a media server". This got one of them back the first time I tried it, nothing the second time, but mysteriously did manage to find the other one the third time.

Note: nothing was actually "broken" in my case - all networking was working fine. I just wanted the icons back under "Network locations" in Explorer when looking at "This PC". Doing the above brought the icons back.

    Hope this helps!
