Windows 10: DNS probe finished no internet. frequent disconnecting.

Hello.My moms laptop keeps doing this thing where the internet will randomly cut out, but the wifi is still connected. Often times it will literally say "internet access" yet it doesnt let you go on any websites it does say No Internet Access sometimes too, its pretty 50/50. The error that comes up every time is DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET. It'll often say it cant find whatever websites DNS address or something. Windows Network Diagnostics sometimes fixes it, but it usually takes a few tries and doesnt always work. It'll always say that it fixed "The default gateway is not available", how

After some trial-and-error testing of all suggested fixes, which I found over the internet, here’re what worked for me to solve "DNS Probe Finished No Internet" issue and might work for you as well.

Method 1: Change Default DNS Address to Open DNS

Here all you have to do is change your default automatically obtained DNS server addresses to open DNS or Google DNS. To do this, follow below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Right click on Network icon located in Windows Task Bar Menu.

Step 2: Click on ‘Open Network and Sharing Center.’





Step 3: Click on Local Area Connection with whom who are presently connected and click onProperties.

Step 4: Select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ and click on Properties.

Step 5: Now in newly opened windows, select the radio button that reads ‘Use the following DNS server address:’

Step 6: Now in the ‘Preferred DNS Server’ box type in 208.67.222.222 and in ‘Alternate DNS Server’ type in 208.67.220.220.

Step 7: Now check the box that says ‘Validate settings upon exit’ and then click on OK. That’s it.

i have tried many fixes in a lot of webs and there is no result.

note: just on one wifi

If that's not enough then reset Chrome following this guide:

If that doesn't fix it then Reinstall Chrome:

Right click empty area of Task bar to open Task manager​.

If necessary show More Details

Under "Processes," look for "Google Chrome" or "chrome.exe."

Click it, then click End process.

Then go into C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (86) to find the Google folder and delete the Chrome Folder.

You may need to Take Ownership first using this handy tool that will install to your right click mouse button:

On the View tab of File Explorer then tick Hidden Files, open C:\Program Data to do the same.

Go into Start > Windows Settings (gear icon) > Apps > Apps & Features > Google Chrome > Uninstall.

Restart PC to reinstall Chrome from fresh download here:
