Windows 10: Dns server unavailable for more than 24 hours

I have been experiencing this dns error for more than 24 hours now and not once did i get my internet back i tried all methods that was available on the internet, ie the commands used in cmd promt like flushdns, renew dns, register dns, winsock int ip, ipconfig etc etc, i tried to reset my network adapter, i tried to change the preferred and alternative dns servers as well as the ip, i gave the permissions to certain settings in registry app, restarted my router 5 times, changed the settings in the services app, of course i tried troubleshooting this problem, tired update my drivers and still

DNS server unavailable

I am connected to an Ethernet cable (no router) and when I troubleshoot the issue with my internet I get the message 'your DNS server might be unavailable'. I have flushed the DNS but this hasn't worked. Anything else I can do?

DNS server error

Since installing windows 10, I get a DNS server error about every 24-48 hours. If i restart the computer, the error disappears for the next 24-48 hours. When i get the error, i cannot connect to most websites, altho i can continue to get gmail, be on facebook
and go to yahoo.com. I have done every fix on the internet...changed my DNS servers, played with the settings on google chrome, flushed the DNS, cleared out my history...i contacted AVG as the problem seemed to worsen when i installed their anti-virus software.
AFter numerous attempts, they could not find the problem and sent me to my ISP. I was sent to level 2 tech support for comcast, also without luck. He suggested i contact microsoft...I went through the microsoft support's suggestions for DNS error, also
with no change in performance....so here I am.

while there is an easy fix, it is very annoying to restart the computer in the middle of something. I would appreciate any suggestions

 

DNS server is unavailable

I cannot get to a specific website. It keeps saying your DNS server might be unavailable. I have never had an issue with the site before and have tried from my desktop as well as my laptop. Other people can get to the site.
