Windows 10: Do admin privileges extend to external devices when connected?

I currently work from home and all of my work is performed on a desktop computer. The computer has admin privileges and restrictions to prevent the removing and adding of new software and a few other various things, in which I personally do not have access to. With that being said, if I was to plug in an external drive in such as an external hard drive or usb drive that has never before been plugged in, would the admin privileges and restrictions then extend to any files on that drive? If so, do the privileges only apply whenever the device is connected, or do they then remain on that drive, indefinitely, until the privileges are removed. If the privileges do not extend to the drive when it is connected, does that mean that I could then modify or delete those files stored on said drive? Are there any other restrictions or issues I could run into when attempting to do this? Thanks for your time and assistance with this!

Need help with Admin privileges

That's what puzzles me, I am logged-in as (my username) but still won't give me admin privileges. I checked under control panel/users amd it shows me as a local account. Tried to right click on CMD prompt but the "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" doesn't show up
