Windows 10: Do DistributedCom errors cause random restarts?

Title pretty much says it!!

My PC will randomly and without warning restart or shut itself down (not a BSOD). I found the event viewer and these errors (Event ID 10016) and a kernal power faults are there around the time this happened. I'm not 100% sure since I know the logs record constantly, so the time stamps may not be accurate for the restart.

I still believe what I am seeing is totally hardware related because of all the forums I've read on this 10016 error it doesn't shut the PC down. Just nuisance kind of thing.

I have a $1,500 hardware upgrade ready to purchase, but I still haven't figured out if this is a windows (software) or a hardware issue.

I have also went through the drivers and no issues were found. I did have some issues with my video card drivers because windows installed a really old version and then I just installed the latest, so I had not properly cleaned out the old ones. That was taken care of because I wiped this sucker clean AGAIN and did it all right this go around and it STILL restarts itself!!

Any insight you guys may have would be great!!!

Computer freezing randomly...

Hey,

My computer has started to have moments where it freezes beyond responsiveness, even the lights on my keyboard freeze (they're animated). I can't do anything other than press the reset button on my PC and everything works fine, but the random freezing is
getting too frequent.

Freezing issue

I think I have tracked down the system error that freezes my PC. It is called a DistributedCOM error.

I have provided a screen shot of my event viewer showing how random and frequent this error occurs just today - 20 June 2017. This error is extremely frustrating. I have also attached a link to a discussion of this problem but I would like to know where
MicroSoft discusses the fix to this KNOWN issue? Anyone?

I also just turned off the automatic restart so I can get an error message. I also ran "WhoCrashed" and that did not find any memory dumps.
