    Do I have latency problems?

I tested with Latency moon and got a red line.I didn`t notice that in games, I think in maybe is some rare situation in games I noticed popping sound. In windows everything seems fine.Should latency be tested in idle or load (in games - when I enter game I will get red bar in latency moon, strees test??)?
When I have latency problem will sound only stuttering or will I have fps drops, game slowdown or similar?Should I pay attention to it if I don`t get audio stutter?

Today I had open latency moon for 12 hours - mostly surfing, watched one movie and some light gaming

    Windows 10 lag is back

Funny, I have no lag with Windows 10. (A more technical term is latency.)

Latency in computing could have thousands of causes, depending on the hardware, the configuration, installed software and the tasks you are performing.

To arrive at the conclusion that Windows 10 has more latency than an earlier version of Windows, you would have to do a clean install of both versions on identical hardware and then time common tasks on both.

  3. NDIS.sys Latency on Windows 10 64 Bit

    Update

I have tried all the older drivers and I seem to be able to now delay the latency but after three hours the latency starts to build up and now I am starting to get massive latency on Wdf01000.sys. I do not know if these two issues are connected in some
way? Kind of starting to feel like I am going round in circles with this problem.

    - there's my laptop for comparison- not specially brilliant spec. (see below)

I only found wdf01000.sys in WinSxS - not an active driver in my case.

    See analysis here:
Wdf01000.sys Causing high DPC Latency - but how can I know what driver is the problem
    - uses XPERF to create a trace.

    Another here:
Latency caused by unidentified driver (wdf01000.sys) - Gearslutz Pro Audio Community
    with the odd idea/suggestion

    Another thread here (in Dutch)

Thanks, I will read that later after work. Did you test it longer that 30s on your laptop? In my case I can have 2-3 hours with only green bars and then all of sudden red bar appear.

No, sorry, have other things to do.. though appreciate your noting the timescale. Plus I don't have that driver actively in use...

You are running this for 12 hours, thus accumulating a lot of trivia.
Your highest execution time is 3.4 ms, that is very little.

Your image is easy to reproduce on mine in minutes by starting up an online game, plus video players, another Browser, changing to Wireless and so on.

I know that will happen due to the nature of Windows OS, Sound chipsets, Graphics Cards involved and Network things.
You'll notice that the application itself "rspLLL64.sys" is right up there with the "best of them".

I would not waste your time, you don't understand it, just uninstall the application and chill.

    Do I have latency problems?

Yes I know that I don`t understand a large part of it. Today I tested it again, in idle (surfing, listening to music) I had max 2,6ms and in gaming (3 hours of PES 2018) I had 7ms (probably will be higher in some demaning games). So you say this is all normal? Where would be alarming value of this ms? Maybe I am a little paranoid about this but it would be good that I understood this before I uninstall Latency moon*Huh, some short explanation would be nice *092 Any more problems that I can have with high latency except audio stuttering?

30 to 60 seconds should be sufficient. When I set up a laptop (not the system shown below) I let it run for 30 minutes but it didn't make any difference after 60 seconds. A process that was causing a problem showed up in less than 60 seconds.
Here is my system, that is set up for my recording studio system.

    Really?? Only 60 seconds?

On latency moon webpage I found this:

Should I run my audio software while LatencyMon is testing my system ?In general, no. In particular, the interrupt to process latency that the software measures already simulates the workings of an entire audio process. You should run most tests without running any other software in the background. Running your audio software together with LatencyMon only makes sense if you wish to measure hard pagefaults of the audio process.

I don`t know if it is related only to audio software but I thing latency moon should run only in idle *Confused
