Windows 10: Do I have Preview Windows installed?

I searched my build number - 10586.71 - on google, and got this:

Does that mean that I have some beta version of Windows 10?

You seem to not be eligible for a FREE upgrade to a RTM version of Windows 10.

If the laptop came WITH Windows 7 pre-installed, it is OEM and non-transferable, so did it come WITH Windows 7 pre-installed or did you purchase it separately (not an UPGRADE version as well)?



You can continue to be a Windows Insider and use the betas... But in order to get a free Windows 10 Upgrade, you need a qualifying OS and the preview/insider build is NOT a qualifying OS.

What OS was on the computer prior to the installation of the Insider builds?

 

no, not according to my 2 legit win10 computer ,they are the same version as yours ,my computer with the Preview running on it has build # 1511 build 14251/1000

 

go to the notification icon by the clock ,open and go to all settings and then updates and security ,click on advanced options ,if it gives you the option to get the insider preview ,then you are not using it now ,so your ok
