Windows 10: Do I have too many Icons on my desktop?

I have been having problems with my Desktop recently, I often cannot open folders or launch apps from it and the busy spinning circle keeps running. I normally do not often launch files either from Start or the Taskbar but have now seen that apps will launch OK from both, even when trying the Desktop icon does not work. So this has made me wonder if the problem with the Desktop might be that I have overloaded it with icons on my small capacity Tablet PC? Do they use up resources? It has over 100 plus icons and also Folders which contain additional shortcuts to apps.

Despite the fact that I do have some reasons for wanting so many desktop icons, I could cut them back if my system would benefit. Would it?

I got too many nvidia folders

Well, the main issue is the amount of folders. I like to keep my computer organized. With that being said, i also dont want to have too many junk files laying around, since i play a lot of games and i need the space on my computer.

Also, i just found out that deleting some of these folders that were suggested gets rid of the icon in programs and features, but it can be brought back again by installing the latest drivers.

 

I have completed my first ever build. what to do now

I have completed my build. It turns on bur I do not know what to do next. Can anyone help? I didn't know if know if listing the parts will help.

Do I go to the bios and do something there Or do I insert the os disc or the cd tht came with the mobo?

I would really appreciate if someone gave me the steps to get my rig up and running.
