Discus and support Do i need an Anti Virus on my Windows 10 pc ? in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I am constantly seeing Adverts from 2nd party Anti Virus Co's e.g "Total AV " explaining they are working with MS who advise to use their free software...     Do i need an Anti Virus on my Windows 10 pc ?


    I am constantly seeing Adverts from 2nd party Anti Virus Co's e.g "Total AV " explaining they are working with MS who advise to use their free software only to get it and then as with all , nothing in life is free right !!!! to get prompted every time to buy the premier AV .. I have had 2 own fault , I think ?? malware attacks and refreshed W10 and asked the question to Microsoft directly if I need a 2nd AV and was told "no " , all I need in my system is my own built in defence ,,, any suggestions and advice guys please ?? Thank you … Stay safe during these uncertain times , Thank you NHS …..

    I need to istall Window 10 anti virus and marvate

    Windows 10 comes with in-built Anti-Virus program Windows Defender.

    It depends on your own preferences if you would want to use another Anti-Virus program.

    Probably your computer came with a preinstalled McAfee trial which you should uninstall properly...

    After rebooting Windows Defender should get automatically enabled.

    I use and recommend the free browser extensions uBlock Origin and Ghostery...
