    do I need any driver updating software beyond the windows own function for this


    I repeat this, Do I or do I not need any driver updating software in my Windows in addition to the included functions for this in W?This issue I was concerned with this when I used earlier Windows versions, but that is some time ago, and I did then update my pc's this way, because I was more of a novice in using Microsoft software.Since I am a home user for some time, I have no contact any more with a corporate It department environment, this issue is more of a individual responsibility and my concern to be safe in my activities.

    Driver update software

    Windows Update should have a considerable amount of good drivers. They'll be listed under the "Optional Updates" section. That should give you rather good functionality right off the bat. If it's a branded PC, latest drivers will likely have to come from the manufacturer's website. For the most part, built-in drivers should be Good Enough™

    I don't think I've run across an automagic driver installer that wasn't loaded with malware.
