Windows 10: do i need hibernate on a laptop that i use all the time?

HI all so i use my laptop it's mainly plugged in but i do take it off the plug twice a month a run it down , to 50% so the battery stays used, but do i really need hibernation on i do put the laptop to sleep at night but honestly can i turn hibernation off does it really need it ? its automatically setup on my HP laptop for 180 min then it hibernates. whats your opinions on this can i safely turn that off ? as hiberfil sys huge i noticed lol

Laptop no longer hibernates on critical power

Hi Mike,

The laptop's battery is possibly wearing out. Since you haven't change any settings, we suggest that you change the critical battery level a bit higher so that your laptop can perform a hibernation on a much higher percentage than the default. Follow the
steps below:

• Type Power Options on the Start menu search bar.
• Under Battery, click on Critical battery level.
• Chang the default percentage to 10% or higher.
• Click on Apply.

I suggest you to enable the Hibernate option from power settings and check if you are able to access the Hibernate in power options. Follow the below steps.

Please try the steps and check if it helps.

  Press Windows + R keys on the keyboard to open Run command.
  
• 
  Type powercfg.cpl to open the power settings.
  
• 
  Click on the Choose what power buttons do on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable (Enter the admin credentials if prompted)
  
• 
  Check the Hibernate box.
  
• 
  Click on Save changes.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  
• 
  Check if you are able to see the Hibernate option in power options

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.
