Windows 10: Do I need to buy Windows again with my new PC even though I'll be putting in my old M.2 SSD?

I'm buying a new PC with all new parts except my current M.2 SSD drive which is running Windows 11 will go into me new PC. Saves me having to buy a new SSD and cloning all my data. Is my current Windows serial number linked to my old motherboard and PC and will I have to purchase a new serial number or can I just swap out my old M.2 SSD and put it in my new PC without having to re-purchase Windows 11?

M.2 ssd upgrade

Im new to the world of ssd and pc upgrades today im going to install an m.2 nvme ssd to my laptop and keep my old hard drive so my question is if i unplug the hard drive put in the m.2 nvme ssd install windows on it and then plug the hard drive again do i lose any data of the hard drive?? I have very important files on it and im scared of losing them

quick follow up question, if i copy just windows from the old ssd onto the new m.2 and install it there, do i need to put in an activation key for windows or will it just boot since it's technically already been activated previously on the old ssd

 

Setting up Windows with new m.2 for windows and three storage from old PC

So my old PC was an i5 7400 with RX580 and had 1 SSD and 2 HDD. I upgraded and bought an 11400f with its new MoBo. My plan is to make my i5-7400 my office PC and my new 11400F be paired with my RX 580 for my gaming PC. So that’s two new PC system’s. GOING TO NEED HELP FOR GAMING PC DISK MANAGEMENT.

So my office PC(old i5-7400) had a new SSD and HDD. So, I had no problems clean installing windows 10. It’s now up and running with no problems downloading the drivers. Happy installation went smooth.

My Gaming PC(new i5-11400f with RX 580) has a new m.2 which I plan to put the Windows and with the old SSD and 2 HDD. To install Windows I plan to remove the SATA’s of the three old SSD/HDD to have a clean install. Then after windows gets installed and i’ve updated the drivers, WHAT DO I DO?

My concerns: Don’t want the files of my old SSD/HDD to get deleted. What do I do with HDD(yes HDD, I was young and the SSD has my Games) that has my old windows 10 from my first PC?
