Do i only get malware when i install setup the software from rar or exe or just when its downloaded its over even if i dont run it rar or exe

From the main Filezilla Sourceforge page you can also browse the files, this is usually used for downloading older versions but you can download the latest version as well through there. At the top right of the file list is an option to switch to "Direct Download Link" to On. So anything you download from the file list will be the actual file, not the malware filled Sourceforge installer.

It can be confusing, inefficient and even counter-productive to work on the same problem simultaneously in multiple venues. The helper at one location cannot know what the helper at another location has suggested, what steps have been tried, or what changes may have been made to the system. "Too many cooks..."

I respectfully suggest working in one place or the other, either here or there.

To do that, please download HERE and save to your desktop the version of FRST for your architecture. Temporarily pause your AV to run the tool. Then, please attach BOTH logs (FRST.txt and Addition.txt) to your next reply here. Please be sure to re-enable your AV after running the tool. Downloaded a malware-not on Uninstall list


Hello,

I guess I downloaded a malware software.
It is not on the Uninstall list.
Also, MBAM detected some malwares and removed it after installation, but now I can't remove the software.

What can I do?

*Update: I tried a software named "Revo Uninstaller" and used an option called "Force Uninstall", it did remove it and all the leftovers, but now the software folder appears on the "All Apps" in start menu.
Is there a way to remove that from there as well? Because there is no option to right click on it and click remove.
