Windows 10: Do I really need check point end point security? It is on my PC and i cannot uninstall it.

I do use windows defender but something called end point security runs in the background and it takes alot of battery. Help.

Check Point Internet Security Issue

Hi Rose, do you have the Check Point Internet Security software installed on your system?

You should uninstall it from Control Panel - Program Files

Then check for any Windows 10 Startup entries and remove them:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

Click on the Startup Tab

See if Check Point Internet Security is listed there

If it is, select it and click 'Disable'

Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services'

In the remaining list check for any reference to Check Point Internet Security, uncheck any you find

Click Apply and OK

Restart your System and this annoyance will be gone . . .

If you do actually want to run that software, you can then download the latest version from their website to resolve this constant popup . . .

 

Escape Check Point Endpoint Security Client self-protection without Windows 10 reinstall

I installed the Windows 10 April 2018 Update. After installing I got a warning that Check Point client was not compatible. At this time I had a network connection. I then uninstalled Check Point client.

After this my WiFi connection showed "No Internet, Secured" and troubleshooter shows "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter".

Can I get back to a working network connection without reinstalling Windows?

Try Uninstalling your device first, restart and then Install again.

Step 1:

• Open device manager by right clicking This PC and select Manage. On the left pane, click the same.
• Under Mouse and pointing devices, right click the synaptics driver and click Uninstall.

Step 2:

Restart when prompted. Remember, Restart!

Step 3:

Install the synaptics driver again using the setup utility provided by the manufacturer
