Windows 10: Do not disturb

So inconsistent, the second you think you got it right bammm a stupid notification come in the middle of the night despite the auto, is this a known problem ? if so why Microsoft has fixed it ? Outlook live goes through same for Gmail , Im looking now at the little bell top bottom right, I have the ZZZZ in it... two email just whent through so tired of that BS

How do I fix notifications still coming in even though Do Not Disturb is enabled?

If you are having problems with notification sounds, please do the following:

Step 1: Right-click on the Start icon and select Settings from the list.

Step 2: On the System tab, click on Notifications.

Step 3: Under "Notifications from apps and other senders", you will see a list of apps. Click on the app you want to disable notification sounds for.

Step 4: Disable the option "Play a sound when a notification arrives". You can also prevent the app from showing notification banners from this menu.

You can repeat the steps above to disable notification sounds for other apps.

Try turning on Do Not Disturb this way, however, all alerts will continue to appear in the Notification Center.

To automatically control Do Not Disturb, follow these steps:

Open Settings.

Click System.

Click on the Notifications tab.

Turn on the “Do Not Disturb” switch.

Click on the “Turn on Do Not Disturb Automatically” context.

Check the During these times option.

Set the on and off time to silence notifications.

Automatic Do Not Disturb

Choose repeat setting.

After completing the steps, Do Not Disturb will automatically turn on and off depending on your configuration.

In addition to setting up a schedule, you can also decide whether you want to stop notification banners at certain times.

I would suggest you try resetting the settings for Do Not Disturb.

1. go to Settings > Do Not Disturb and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

2. Tap on "Reset" and confirm the action.

This will reset all Do Not Disturb settings to their default values, and may help to resolve any issues with the feature automatically turning back on.

WP8 Update 3 introduces "Driving Mode" which allows a "do not disturb"-mode when driving (or connected to any Bluetooth device of your choice). Hopefully a more universal one will be added in the future!
