Windows 10: DO NOT UPDATE TO WINDOWS 11 IF YOU EVER CUT-AND-PASTE IMAGES INTO WORD

I create a lot of Word reports where I take screenshots of images or data or tables, and I cut-and-paste them into a Word document. As soon as I upgraded to Windows 11, the images would show up as empty boxes, no matter whether they were in jpeg or png format. I spent like 90 minutes troubleshooting with MS Support, and we went over a bunch of formatting options on Word, reinstalled Office Suite, etc., and nothing worked. We did notice that if I opened a document off of the on-line subscription service, I could cut-and-paste into THOSE docs, but that did nothing for me because I'm almost alway

Cutting and pasting in word

I have Office 2010/Word 14 on Win10 and can Cut and Paste but I click the little down right arrow beside the word Clipboard on the Home tab [under the word Paste on the left end of the ribbon] to assure when I have used Cut or Copy that it's there.

When I cut text in word it is not there when I want to paste it. I can copy and paste but then need to go back and delete the text I've just copied. I've had windows 10 since April and I'm sure I've been able to do it before but I can't today. I've gone through the advanced options but can't seem to find anything which applied to cut and paste. Help.

• Are you trying to cut and paste a folder from an external device?
  
• Do you have any other User accounts on the computer? Did you check the files in other User accounts if any?
  
• Was there any interruption during the cut and paste process?
  
• If the cut and paste process was interrupted, did you receive any error code or error message?
  

I suggest you to check the missing files in the Recycle Bin and try recovering the files. You can also try manually searching the files by entering the file name in the search bar.
