Windows 10: Do older PC have issues running windows 10?

I just upgraded my pc from windows 7 to windows 10 and my pc crashes unexpectedly giving me the kernel power 41 task 63 error which doesn't provide me any information on to what the problem could be. I have updated drivers, performed chkdsk, dism, and sfc scans to try solve my issues. It's definitely not an issue with my motherboard or power supply. When I reinstall my drivers the pc seems to run fine for a day or 2 then it goes back to freezing and or crashing.


So my question is do older cpu/motherboards have issues with windows 10? I have a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard and my cpu is a Sandy Bridge i72700k.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
