Windows 10: do portable routers and ethernet adapters always work in safe mode with networking?

i have often seen the suggestion to buy a portable router and use an ethernet cable. However, systems like mine do not have an ethernet cable. what is the suggestion in such situations?I lived in an apartment complex recently that i depended on free wireless. I could not afford to purchase my own internet service. The old system did have an ethernet port, but i could only possibly go to somebody's house and try that if i had access to such things.The new one does not. Do I just use an adapter and a portable router? does this always work? Does anyone know if there might be a fix eventually sinc

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. The idea of having of portable router (with sim slot for your data) plus a wireless usb adapter is a great solution to your situation. There are even pocket ones (router) that you can bring anywhere together with your laptop. Any reason why you prefer using wifi in safemode with networking? Regarding that question, most users are not able to get wifi access in safe mode with networking. Only LAN connections work most of the time. But as expected, you only log in to safemode with networking if you are performing troubleshooting.

Otherwise, you log in to normal mode which loads all the necessary drivers for your devices to work.

Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

I'm not sure what build they made the change in . I have tried every suggestion I found and nothing worked. When in Safe Mode my wireless network doesn't even show up so I can't choose it as a option.

Edit: I just tried booting into Safe Mode. The network icon had a X in it. When I clicked on it the only option was Airplane Mode.
