Do the Edge "Official" group policy templates actually work?

I have downloaded and installed the policy templates and installed them on a Win 10 VM (Version v1909) with the specific need to disable the auto updates.
I have set a local policy to updates from all Edge channels:

Yet this setting seems to do nothing. My VM was running Edge 80.0.361.111 on April 10

Then I fired up the VM today to apply the new Patch Tuesday (April 14) updates - with the policy fully in place - and after about an hour - I see this

Do the Edge "Official" group policy templates actually work? [IMG]

Clearly - there are other forces at work here. And I am guessing it's a combination of two Scheduled Tasks that appear in Task Scheduler (after a standard install) and the three services that are enable for Edge
Has anyone else tried to stop Edge updates via Group Policy?

Appreciate any info from the field.

    Cheers

    Sonic.

    :)

Local group policy windows settings and administrative templates

When I check local group policy editor, there are user and computer configurations.

There are also software settings, windows settings, and administrative templates.

    My questions :

What are the difference between windows settings and administrative templates ?

Why couldn't I find same windows setting group policy on administrative templates ?

How to make windows settings exportable like admx template ?

Do the Edge "Official" group policy templates actually work?

Does Microsoft Have a Full Library of all Group Policy Administrative Templates?

I know Microsoft issues new group policy admin templates, but do they have a single location where they can all be viewed or searched? I dislike using google to search these things down and would love to know where the full listing of MS issued GPO Templates
    are.

Thanks for your time & Help.
