AMD Athlon X2 64 Windows 7 64 bit upgrade not working

I have a HP Pavillion with AMD Athlon X2 64 4200+ running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I reserved my copy of Windows 10. It refuses to upgrade saying the processor is no supported. Some websites say the reason is my processor does not have an instruction
set for secure boot. One website - TechRadar - shows an AMD Athlon X2 64 3200+ running Windows 10 32 bit. Do I have to reinstall the operating system to change from Windows 7 64 bit to Windows 7 32 bit then upgrade to Windows 10 32 bit? Why does Windows 10
32 bit run but not Windows 10 64 bit? Will Microsoft allow us with these processors the option of not using secure boot so we can upgrade to Windows 10 64 bit? Maybe a software file that runs to tell setup the secure boot is there or bypassed to allow setup
to run?
