Windows 10: do you know why wacom intuos 3 tablet might work on an hp pavilion 15 but not hp laptop 17...

i got in touch with wacom, and they said it might not be compatible. the fact is that upon setting up the hp laptop 17, the latest driver did not first show it was installed. then i uninstalled every trace, then reinstalled it. it started working for a few days, then it stopped working at night one day. then i put my laptop in sleep mode, came out, then it started working for 2-3 days. then it stopped working again. wacom told me i can buy a newer version. i am currently waiting to see if some software that comes with it is still valid, as it says the offer is only valid until november of last

My wacom intuos CTL-490 won't work on my new HP pavilion

The Wacom intuos is connected and listed as a device and the light (which signals that it is connected) is on, however when I try to move the cursor with the tablet, nothing happens. I have already tried uninstalling the device, restarting the computer and
changing the stylus's pen nib, but nothing has worked yet.

any suggestions?

Hello there, I'm hoping someone can help my girlfriend and I out. So she recently purchased a Wacom Intuos Tablet CTL 490 and we installed the drivers and all but it didn't work. We tried calling Wacom and they said it could be the wire doesn't work so we
replaced it but it was still doing the same thing, just blinking and not reading on the laptop. I suggested it could just be the usb ports but we tried some usb flashdrives and they worked. We've tried installing different drivers, we tried stopping the service
and starting it up again, uninstalling and reinstalling and honestly we don't feel it's the Wacom tablet. We feel it's windows 10 because ever since the update even the xbox 360 wired controller we have doesn't work anymore. Yet flashdrives do? it makes no
sense. She had windows 8.1 but ever since she upgraded to windows 10 the xbox 360 doesn't work anymore but it still lights up so its not broken.

So we need some help, I recently bought her another tablet because maybe we just got a defective product but even this one doesn't work either. We've checked if windows 10 has anymore updates but the laptop is already up to date.

Help?

She has an HP Pavilion 17 notebook by the way.

 

wacom intuos 3 tablet not working anymore

Hi,

I'm on windows 10 64bit and my Wacom intuos 3 tablet doesn't work properly anymore,

the thing is it did work about a month ago on the same system and neither hardware or software has changed.

The tablet works perfectly on another pc with win 7 and the Wacom driver is up to date.

My guess is that something has changed with a Win 10 update, because that's the only thing that's different.
