Windows 10: Document Folder Titles, Microsoft Outlook 2010 not displaying correctly after Windows 10...

I updated my computer, an old Sony VAIO (2009), with the latest August 2018 Windows 10 update. Up to now, my Outlook 2010 has been working fine. Now, many of the subject headings have disappeared completely, I cannot read the body of the email, even in email I have already opened, and when I try to type a response, the letters just pile up one on top of the other.

Everything was working correctly up until now. This is very frustrating, as you can imagine.


I am also not able to even see folder titles and in some cases, document contents. When I tried to open a document, it said there wasn't enough memory space to complete the operation. Storage in settings says I have 109 GB free (of 448 GB); I am unable to see all the setting categories when attempting to look at the processes for RAM.

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

You can use the automatic tool for taking Outlook 2010 backup. Microsoft provides the automatic built in add-in to backup Outlook data. It is called as Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup tool. To add it in Outlook 2010 check the information provided here -
