Windows 10: Document Folders Sharing

Can 2 windows PCs share Document folders which are on a remote drive. And when I say shared, I mean both PC's moving the location of the document folders to the same remote folder. Both PC's are logged in with the same MS user account. I already do it this way with one PC and it works just fine. One PC is OS 11 the other is 10.I am using SMB and Samba which I think I read is being deprecated for security issues. So I have to address that soon too.

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

How to stop sharing folder for windows 10?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on how to stop sharing folder for windows 10.

I cannot find Stop Sharing option on step 5.

Use these steps to stop sharing any folder on Windows 10:

1. Open Start.
   
2. Search for Computer Management and click the top result to open the experience.
   
3. Expand the Shared Folders branch from the left pane.
   
4. Click the Shares item.
   
5. Right-click the folder that you no longer want to share and the Stop Sharing option.
   

Furthermore, ADMIN$ is found to be Remote Admin under computer management.

There is no option to stop it as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop sharing and remote?
