Please make sure you have a Word app installed on your computer.

If yes, Right click on the .docx file then select Properties

Click Change then select "More apps"

Select Word in the list

Click Ok

Icon image not showing up for .docx files.

 

.Docx files are not showing word icon but only white plain icon (Windows 10)

In my case windows knows to open files with word, it just don't show me.

All icons are ok but .docx

I even uninstalled the whole office and installed anew and restarted the notebook several times.

I even tried to rebuild the icon cache by erasing files; as provided by some online fixes, however failed in erasing two files!

Any idea?
