    Does a factory reset remove administrator?


    I ran some application as an administrator, everything worked except for pop ups every few minutes and a Google extension put on my chrome which I had no control of. I used Malwarebytes and I got rid of the popups but the administrator virus removed my wifi? Here's how it is: My wifi is connected to my PC, but when I go on chrome it displays "no wifi." If I try to go onto Microsoft edge, it immediately closes. So, what I'm wondering is, if I factory reset but keep my previous files and data, will the administrator go away?

    Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

    Can a factory reset remove a key Logger?

    Yes, a Factory Reset removing everything from the hard drive would remove everything including malware.

    However, I suggest doing a clean install as it is more superior than a Factory Reset:
