Windows 10: Does anybody know how to get Minitab 16 to work after the changeover to Windows 10?

I have a paid copy of Minitab 16 on my computer but it stopped working after I installed Windows 10; it says "cannot retrieve license information." I tried to reinstall it using the setup file and got the message, "the installation cannot continue." Setting comparability mode for Windows 7 did not work either. In any event, I paid good money for the Minitab program and now it doesn't work. Has anybody else had this problem and found a workaround for it?

Has anybody had any problem with Minitab 16 after upgrading to window 10?

My Minitab was working perfectly well and now it cannot even open up.

A pop up windows says cannot retrieve license information.

Can anybody help?

I solved this by running the minitab 16 update program at \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Minitab Shared\Software Manager\SoftwareManager.exe

The updated version runs just fine under windows 10.

Manitab it is not part of Microsoft so it is better to get support from them.

Please try this steps to know if the problem is in your operating system.

Try to test Minitab in another pc with win10? Is working? It so, the problem is with your operating system.

Is not working in others pc, this could be an issue with Minitab.

Create a new fresh windows user sesion, try to run Minitab, it is working? If so, your old profile have problems so keep the new one.
