Windows 10: Does anyone know how I could transfer a Windows 10 Oem from my laptop into a new pc?

A lot of websites have been telling me I can just de-activate it on my laptop and then reinstall it on my new pc with the Product Key but some say that since it’s OEM that it’s against the rules. Is this true? Is there a way to transfer it I really wouldn’t like to buy a whole new license. Thank you

Windows 10 OEM License transfer form old Laptop to new pc

I have an old laptop which comes with OEM Windows 7 Home Basic ,which I upgraded to windows 10 home. The thing is that the laptop is almost dead but the hard disk is working fine, actually i can use that laptop by connecting it to external display. I recently
bought a new PC and I am wondering if i could transfer the license of that laptop to my new PC. Is it possible, if YES then how? .if NO i am thinking of connecting that hard drive to my new PC and consult the MICROSOFT SUPPORT. Will it work?

If you upgraded from a retail box copy Windows 7, it has retail transfer rights.

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.
