    TranslucentTB used to work normally, but in the last few days it stopped starting automatically and when I tried to start it myself, I got an error message.I tried to download it again, but it didn't work. I haven't actually changed anything except upgrading from Windows 10 to 11, but that shouldn't have caused the problem.For some reason I can't insert a screenshot, so I'll just write what the error message said"TranslucentTB has encountered a fatal error and cannot continue executing.Failed to initialize XAML Diagnostics.0x80070490: Element not found."When I close this error message, anoth

    Re-enable TranslucentTB in Startup Settings

    Since you've noticed that the "Open at boot" setting redirects you to the Startup section in Windows Settings and doesn't always remember your choice, let's manually ensure it's set to run at startup:

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Startup.
    • Find TranslucentTB in the list and toggle it to On.

  3. TranslucentTB doesn't start at startup

    Ever since the last two cumulative Windows updates, TranslucentTB no longer starts automatically when Windows starts. The "Open at boot" setting in TranslucentTB always sends me to Settings>Apps>Startup, which it never used to do. It used to accept the setting in the app. Now it will accept the new setting in Windows. However the next time I start Windows, it is no longer set to "On." It doesn't always "remember" the setting I put in.

    TranslucentTB used to work normally, starting with every startup. The problem seems to have begun around the time of KB5035853 or KB5035942.

    I've been looking for some tech support in Github for TranslucentTB, but can never find anything in there. I find it very user unfriendly.

    Does anyone know how to fix this TranslucentTB error?

    TranslucentTB/Cannot remove translucent/clear option.

    I am unable to change my taskbar back to normal/not clear. It remains clear if I change the desktop setting to normal and even if I uninstall TranslucentTB. Are there any fixes to this?
