Windows 10: Does anyone know how to remove the GoSearches from chrome.

Ive been dealing with go searches for some days know and no options are working pls help me on this so I can go back to using my normal browser. Thank you in advance.

You can put this address into the Chrome Address bar and see if it lets you launch:

chrome://settings/reset

Once you manage to open the page, You can do both the restore settings option and the cleanup option and see if that helps.

You might also want to put this in the address bar:

chrome://extensions/

And review and remove any suspicious extention.

 

chrome will not open

IK reinstalled the KB and a Silverlight update, no luck. I tried to remove chrome , again, using the suggested tool. Chrome was not on the list, I selected not listed. It wanted the product code. A quick internet search did not find it. I removed chrome
using the add and remove programs.,reinstalled chrome and ran the clean up tool, no malware. chrome now opens.. I have signed in and it is working. The second removal worked. thx

You have so many more steps than my virus removal. Step one reinstall OS, step two don't get another virus.
