Windows 10: Does anyone know how to set up a Samsung Phone with phone Companion So Audio from phone...

Seriously Bugged App. I am missing a setting. All drivers are up to date, my apps are up to date, my windows is up to date with a fresh Clean windows install. My phone mirrors and is paired perfectly as far as the Screen goes. My Phone Plays audio to my PC from autoplay feature from Music and Media.

My phone will not connect to bluetooth during a call only and only for Audio?? When phone screen is mirrored on my PC and I have an active call The bluetooth Icon on the phone screen as they mirror are both showing bluetooth greyed out. During the call, I can turn it on and it will briefly connect and lose audio to phone to"My PC" in Bluetooth in the phone menu on phone but it disconnects the audio within 1 second.


There is a setting I can not find. I have looked at various troubleshooters here. Do I need Samsung DEX to use phone companion? My phone already has link to windows installed.

I can make a call from phone app I just have to use to phone to get sound. like put it on speaker. It is no good this app. Are there better options than link to windows that came stock with phone and phone companion until microsoft fixes this beta behavior? or am I missing a setting??

Thanks for the response! Samsung Note 4, there is no error. As soon as I connect it via USB, a nag screen for Microsoft's Phone Companion pops up, it shows both the phone and SD card as empty. A second later, "Add your Microsoft Account", pops over it. I X out of that leaving the nag screen showing my Phone by name and level of charge along with "To see more info, unlock your phone." (It's not locked). This nag screen is prompting me to install Phone Companion. The phone is listed in File Explorer with no folders showing.

New phone woes

agreed, i dont consider a phone that costs $350 CAN when it was new a "cheap" phone. A cheap phone is the sub $110 pay as you go phones and the like IMO
