Windows 10: Does anyone know why I can't print a Turkish letter, Ğ ğ, with Alt?

Hello,I have found on the Internet Alt codes for the letter "Ğ ğ": Alt+0286 and Alt+0287 for lowercase. However, these combinations output nothing on the screen. I have no intention to install a Turkish keyboard just for one letter. And I don't think this issue is connected to my laptop either. All other common symbols work fine: âé.

How do I type and print a letter on my laptop?

To type a letter:

• Start menu > Windows Accessories > Wordpad

To print the letter you just created, with Wordpad still open:

• File menu > Print

To save your letter for future reference, with Wordpad still open:

• File menu > Save

After performing the steps you suggested, I still had the same issue using the "Alt-Print Screen" keys. However, in the process I learned how to better use the Windows Snipping tool to accomplish my objective. It just takes more key strokes.

A friend told me Microsoft wants to discourage users from using the "Alt-Print Screen" keys and to use the Snipping tool instead. I'm not sure I buy that because the "Alt-Print Screen" feature works perfectly for me on other computers.
