Windows 10: Does Bit Defender Prohibit Windows Defender From Being Activated Too ?

Hello.

Using BitDefender.

Cant seem to activate Windows Defender (also).

Does Bit Defender prohibit Windows Defender from being activated ?

Any idea why I can't activate ?
Assuming I can, somehow, do I want both ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I can't turn on Bluetooth on my Windows 10 notebook.

I did not try to reinstall Bitdefender yet, but have activated Windows Defender and Bluetooth is still working.

Windows Defender does EXCLUDE the Intel Bluetooth drivers from the scanning process.

Maybe that would help too in Bitdefender, but I am awaiting the response on my issue from Bitdefender first.

 

Unable to Turn On Windows Defender in Windows 10

I found a clew of potential blocage which worked out fine.

I had with previous Windows 7, Bit defender security system. I de-installed 2014 version when updating to W10, but Bit Defender 2012 - even not active - was remaining. Since de-installation and reboot, Defender works well. check if a previous competitive
security system is not "sleeping" somewhere. Seems Defender does not appreciate others reminders... Hope it helps

 

You don't usually want to have more than one antivir program active at once.

 

It would seem logical that if one AV product was good 2 should be better. Not true.

These programs were never designed to work together and the results of doing so are unpredictable. You could end up with less protection than you would have with one. Windows Defender is just doing what it was designed to do in this situation.
