    Does Bit Locker work without Modern Standby?


    Hi all,I'm running Windows 11 Pro on an AMD 3900x processor and a ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS motherboard.Under System Information as administrator, Device Encryption Support is reporting: 'Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: Hardware Security Test Interface failed and device is not Modern Standby, Un-allowed DMA capable bus/devices detected'.Under cmd> ‘powercfg /a’ modern standby S0 Low Power Idle is showing as not available on this system. I have two questions:Will Bit Locker still encrypt and protect my drive even though ‘Device Encryption Support' is reporting inco

    Windows 10 Modern Standby (Modern Standby) expands the Windows 8.1 Connected Standby power model. Connected Standby, and consequently Modern Standby, enable an instant on / instant off user experience, similar to smartphone power models. Just like
    the phone, the S0 low power idle model enables the system to stay up-to-date whenever a suitable network is available.

    Does modern standby need compatible PSU to work ?

    Corsair launched Corsair RM850 that claims to be modern standby compatible .

    So modern standby needs this kind of PSU to work?

    What about other PSUs ?

    I didnt find other PSU that claims to be modern standby compatible, so I am not understanding

    what is going on...
