Does disabling write caching prevent a drive resync on software RAID drives?

I have a Win 10 Pro PC with dual 4Tb drives configured in Disk Management as RAID 1. This works fine except that if Windows shuts down abnormally the drives are resync'd when Windows is restarted and that takes about 16 hours. If I disable write caching will Windows still resync the drives after an abnormal shutdown? Thanks.

    :)

Disable Disk Write Caching on SSD in Windows 10

Well since your not running a RAID 5 or any other safe RAID you OS needs the write caching to prevent data loss. Disable write caching would normally only be for external hard drives or like I said in a RAID situation for hot swapping in a replacement drive for a failed one. So I think windows is just turning it back on to save its self?

    Disabling Write Cache on Drive

    Hi,
I have seen in Event Viewer a Warning saying it is Recommended to Disable Write Cache on "DR2".
    - How to identify which Drive is that DR2?
    - Should I indeed disable the Write Cache as recomended by Windows?

    Thank you.

    Raid Drive on Windows 10

Original title: HardDrive Errors or software error or both???

    Asus Z97 Pro AC 3.1

    I7 4790K

    Asus Strix GTX 970

    16 GB Corsair Vengeance 2400

    Seagate Hybrid 1TB (main drive)

    Windows 10 64 Pro

I have an issue I can not seem to make ANY sense of. I have purchased a few months ago a WD BLUE 1 tb hard drive. Worked great (extra storage)..... Also have an old 500GB Samsung drive from an old laptop.

The WD stopped working the other day. Used WD software to scan, bad sectors. One thing that stood out was it was listed as a raid drive. Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver to the same result. Have tried wiping/recovering/scanning with multiple software's.
Get a CRC error in windows, won't initialize. Figured that drive was kapuut.

The older Samsung drive on the other hand worked great, then stopped around the same time (within a week...) Just now I was looking at it... ALSO INSTALLED AS A RAID DRIVE...

IT IS LISTED AS A 1TB DRIVE IN WINDOWS.... This is a 500gb drive. I have triple checked the wiring and verified the correct disk spots..... I am confused.... So freaking confused!!! I don't know if the drives are bad, if one drive is bad, or if it is software
    related.... (raid drivers)...

Two months back I experimented with combining the two extra drives into a 500gb raid0 strip. Have long uninstalled and reformatted both drives. They have both been working storage mediums up until recently. I have re-flashed the bios with the latest version,
set default settings in the bios ensuring the mobo raid controller was disabled.... I am out of ideas.....
