my windows 10 is running very slow can anyone help

There are several reasons why devices are running slow. It could be due to virus and malware, too many programs running in the background, hard drive issues, etc.

To better assist you, we would like to ask you few questions:

• Did you encounter any error messages while using your PC?
• Have you made any software or hardware changes on your PC prior to this issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

I have no idea. But CPU is almost never at more than 50%. Even whilst opening Opera it never goes about c.43%. Although how many Cores do I have? Task Manager only seems to be showing one of them.

I have no idea. Various Updates have been installed lately.

Yes it was getting brighter and dimmer randomly for no obvious reason, whilst plugged into the mains.
> Turning to your disk: what do you see by way of transfer rate if you copy a large file back to the disk or to an external drive?
Sorry I don't know how to test that. If I can think of a way I shall revert later.

> Boot to Safe Mode. Do you note any change?
I'm not 100% sure how to do that. Do I hit F8 while booting?
