Windows 11 Insider builds take an EXTREMELY long time to install

This is listed as know issue on Dev channel release announcement.

Uninstall Windows 11 Insider Preview

Installed on ‎21/‎07/‎2022

OS build 25163.1010

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.25163.1010.0

A couple of weeks ago I installed Insider Preview as above. It has interfered with a number of my apps and I would like to revert to 'standard' Windows 11. I came across a previous post that advised as follows:

" I found an odd solution that worked. Basically, I went to Settings, and navigated to System -> Windows Update -> Windows Insider Program.

Then, I toggled the "Stop getting Preview Builds" option to ON. After some time, my laptop automatically checked for updates, and the Windows 11 update completely vanished! "

My problem is in "Stop Getting Preview Builds" the option to turn ON is greyed out and I am unable to proceed. Any advice would be most welcome.

Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22504.1010 - UPDATE FAILED

This may have same issue which is listed build 22504 release announcement as "know issue".

• Some devices may bugcheck with error code 0xc1900101-0x4001c when installing this build. If you hit this, after the device rolls back to the previous build, you may want to pause updates until we release a fix.
