Windows 10: Does my Univeristy allow Azure AD?

Hello Everyone!In the past, I was using Windows 10 Education license which I got from my University, but I changed my system back to Windows 10 Home. Recently I've been wondering, if they were able to somehow spy on me during that time. My university's IT department swear that they never had nor has access to students' PCs, but still I did a little experiment. By the way, I'm still attending that university.I installed Windows 10 Education as virtual machine in Oracle VirtualBox, using the same key I used the last time. Windows Education- Can Univeristy have access to my PC?

For the last two years I was using a Windows 10 Education licence, which I got from my Univeristy via MSDN Academic Alliance. On my personal computer I logged into Microsoft Azure Education, from where i downloaded Windows ISO and got a licence key. My question is, was my Univeristy able to access my computer and my files because they were a licence owner? As far as I know, the key I got was from a Volume Licence. Does that give them any right to access my PC?

I already changed my system back to my personal Windows 10 Home, so I cannot check what settings were enabled back on that system. I'm pretty sure that during set up I chose "for personal use", but is it possible that I could join Azure Active Directory by mistake? Does University under MSDN AA program even have Azure AD?

For some context, I'm pretty sure I had a local account on that device and I chose "set up for personal use", but I don't know that 100%, especially since I reinstalled the system a few times. Can I somehow check from the web if I was logged into my Univeristy via Azure AD or any other way that would allow them to spy on me? Please, I am deeply concerned about my privacy and any information would help.

 

Unable to disconnect from Azure AD after account login issues

Been having an issue with one of our systems that is Azure AD joined, we seem to be experiencing the issue with accounts claiming that the password is incorrect. We are running and Insider Preview build (18346.19h1) on this system, so know to expect a couple
of issues, but wanted to get others thoughts on it before we reload the system.

Steps taken so far are:

• try other Azure Users, same error
• create and login with a local account
• disconnect and reconnect to Azure AD

One of the issues being that we cannot disconnect the system. The disconnect button warns of the consequences, then proceeds to do nothing.

Any other troubleshooting steps to try or is it time to wipe and reload?
