Windows 10: Does not read photos - W11

W11 shows the folders of my external HDD but not read the files in it. W11 tries to read the files. But the Explorer stops and closes automatically after a long time. Or I end up shutting my desktop. How can I read the files. I am not sure that I have the time to change the attributes, before it "freezes".

Using W11 PHOTOS, SLIDESHOW SPEED too fast.

W11 PHOTOS app, not able to reduce speed in slideshow. Showing my vacation photos from slideshow needs to slow speed down....goes by too fast. Checking most recent info, seems THERE IS NO WAY TO DO THAT; BUT, there MUST be a way...Is this the result of PROGRAMMING ERROR from someone, or did MS just decide to remove that feature. I tried: SETTINGS; PERSONALIZAITON; BACKGROUND; and then SLIDESHOW; just doesnt seem to work.

AGAIN; this is for W11 PHOTOS SLIDESHOW.

Attributes on read only for Photo's and docs

As you are facing issues with accessing photos and documents, do let us know the following:

• How are you trying to access photos and documents?
• Where are these photos and documents saved?
• Have you logged-in as an administrator with Microsoft account?

As a workaround, I suggest you to follow the below steps to give permission for folders, so that you can access the files in photos and documents and check.

• Right click on the folder and click on
  Properties.
• Click on Security tab and select the group\user name.
• Click on edit option and check the option full control.
• Click on Apply and then on
  Ok button.
