Windows 10: does restore pc to new computer remove it from old computer

i got a new laptop and when i was starting it it asked if i wanted to restore from my old pc, however id still want to use both, would restoring it on this new laptop erase everything on my pc, or should i set it up as a new pc, just a little confused. i don’t want to lose the stuff on my pc and i’d like it if both of them could work simultaneously

if this is an upgrade computer... then i wouldnt suggest buying new ones and wasting $200-$300 on new ones.., especially if all the old stuff works fine
