    or they fixed it ?

    Thanks for the update.

    I think that it is Samsung Magician causing the problems. I rebooted my computer and shut down only the Logitech webcam software - and the drive disappeared after sleep. I then closed Samsung Magician - and since then there have been no disappearing drives.

    I still have to confirm that it is Samsung Magician on its own causing the problems, but it is looking very much like that is the solution!

    Once I've done that, I will disable the hotswapping in the BIOS, as I find it unnerving having the internal drives listed under "removable drives"...

    Hi Ban, are you running a Samsung SSD & Samsung Magician 4.4, with RAPID mode turned on.

    If so Updating the Samsung Magician software should get rid of the BSOD's according to the Samsung forum . . .

    I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64 and Samsung Magician (4.9.7) works normally with AHCI showing enabled.

    It works fine on my wife's laptop. Did you make any wild changes to how it should handle the SSD?

    I had exactly the same problem, its a secure boot setting, you need to go in to bios, select "boot" then "secure boot", change this from "UEFI" to "other os". This will sort your problem *Smile
