Windows 10: Does the test microphone button in the settings save input in any form?

So I was wondering if the function test microphone actually saves any data or audio recorded anywhere. Is it saved in a cache that can be accessed or modified later? Or does not save anything at all?

"Test Microphone" Wont Turn Off.

So I went to test my microphone to see if it was working. I went in the settings tab and clicked system. Then I clicked Sound. I clicked the microphone button to test it, and it works. But now it wont turn off. I tried clicking the button again, but it
just wont stop testing for voice input. Does anyone know how to turn it off, or if it can be?

 

Microphone Issue

Would you please try the following:

1. Give App permission:

• Settings > Privacy > Microphone > Make sure the toggle button for the specific Browser that you are using is ON

2. Set the correct Input device

• Settings > System > Sound > Input > Choose your input devices - the correct Microphone must be selected

3. Run the Troubleshooter:

• Settings > System > Sound > Input > Click the Troubleshoot button under Input and make sure the Test your Microphone bar can detect sound

4. Download and Install all the latest Windows Update

• Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates

If my suggestion did not solve the issue, please reply back so we can try other step.

• Press Windows key + R and type inetcpl.cpl and hit
  enter.
• Now click on Contents tab and click on settings button (Auto complete stores previous entries on Webpages suggests matches for you)
• Now check the Form box and click on Ok.
