Windows 10: Does upgrade from win 10 to win 11 update product/license key?

I upgraded from windows 10 to 11 not too long ago. I was wondering if the original product key upgraded/updated when I did so, or does it only work for a new windows 10 installation? Or, if you made a new install of windows 11, you could put the product key in and it would work? I know I'd have to deactivate the registration to the paired device and key on the device with windows 10 or a device with windows 10 upgraded to 11 installed first, then get windows 11 going and use it then, but the question is, is it possible because the key updates to a windows 11 issue? Is it possible right now b

SCCM: In Place upgrade Win 7to win 10 1903 License issue

I was working on one task sequence for In Place Upgrade. Win 10 1709 to Win 10 1903 is working fine.

But Win 7 to Win 10 1903 is getting failed during Upgrade Operating System step.

I checked some of the links and added the KMS Client Keys (NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43) in upgrade operating system step.

Also added one step to run vbs script.

But Task Sequence is getting failed at this step.

Command line Cscript.exe c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ipk NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43 returned 3221549136

In my environment, we are using KMS and we don't have a Volume license.

Any advise how to resolve this issue.

 

Where to find a Win 10 product key after upgrade?

I just upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 and I was trying to find the product key for the new Win 10 OS.

I found product ID but I am not completely sure whether "product ID" and "product key" is the same thing. The link "change product key" suggests that it is but I would like to have it confirmed.





Can anyone please confirm or clarify?

Why was I not asked for a product key when upgrading to Win 10?

According to your spec you have Win 10 Pro, but perhaps that doesn't reflect your PC.

You haven't stated which edition of Win 10 you have on this machine, nor what your Win 10 key is for.

For example, if you already have Win 10 Pro and your key is Win 10 Home, that would be a retrograde step.
