Windows 11 Tablet Mode on Desktop with touchscreen

I have a kitchen workstation PC that does not have a connected keyboard or mouse. I used to have Windows 10 on it and it had the convenient feature of turning on "Tablet Mode" in the system tray. I tried Windows 11, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore. I read that Windows 11 detects the touchscreen automatically, but it isn't in tablet mode for me. I have an Asus VT229H touchscreen monitor. How can I get tablet mode working in Windows 11?

There is no dedicated option to enable or disable Tablet mode in Windows 11. Tablet mode in Windows 11 is automatically enabled, for this your laptop model must be a touchscreen device or a 2-in-1 PC.

It may be necessary to turn off the rotation lock function.

1. Place the notebook in the tablet position.

2. Press Windows + I or click on Start Menu

3. Select System > Display

Tablet mode in window 11

I installed Windows 11 on my Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop. The tablet mode will not work at all anymore. The touchscreen does not work anymore. I tried all the recommendations to run Update and checked the Device Manager. It says the HDI Compliant Touchscreen is installed and working properly, but it does not work. I would not have installed 11 if I knew I would not be able to use tablet mode or the touchscreen anymore.
