Windows 10: Does Windows 10 have 2 factor signin authentication yet without changing it in Microsoft login?

I need 2 factor IN WINDOWS 10, not anywhere else.


This is 2020, my god are we with the program yet????

2 factor authentication question.

Straight to the question:

Is there any way to require 2 factor authentication every time I log into my windows 10 machine? For instance all logins would require my approval from windows authenticator on my android?

Background:

I have configured Remote access on my home windows 10 machine.

In addition to the security measures I've taken I would like to be notified if a sucessful login attempt is made. 2 factor authentication would notify me if a sucessful unauthorized login is made as well as allow me to deny it.

 

Microsoft Account set to use 2 Factor Authentication & Authentication Phone App but it doesn't prompt for authentication when signing in to my Windows 10 PC locally or remotely (via RDP).

OK I created a 2nd Microsoft account and setup the Authentication App on an old phone I had lying around for 2-factor authentication.

Step 1

I logged into this website with that account and it prompted me with the Authentication App so 2 factor is setup correctly on the NEW Microsoft Account.

Step 2

I logged in on my Windows 10 PC with that NEW account and it also DOES NOT PROMPT for 2-Factor Authentication.

I tried to log in via RDP and, again, it DOES NOT PROMPT for 2-Factor.

My question remains unanswered.
