Hello i got some problem here,

i already install EAP-GTC authentication for setting security my special wifi to connect my LDAP g suite using freeradius

when i setup new connection network and choose network authentication method using microsoft: EAP-TTLS and go setting select EAP method authentication and choose EAP-Token click okay and okay again and i got some error " windows has encountered an error saving the wireless profile, specific error: the network connection is corrupted


any idea for that?

N8: wifi: peap gtc protocol

You seem to be missing the "Authority Certificate". Using EAP-PEAP and EAP-TTLS on N8 (and other Nokia Symbian phones) requires that you MUST define have a valid Authority Certificate installed on the phone and it also has to be defined in to the EAP-PEAP
settings.



If you don't define any Authority Certificate or if you have selected wrong certificate then PEAP authentication will not work no matter what you do with rest of the settings.



There is no option to "save" the EAP-GTC password to phone settings, instead phone will prompt the GTC password during the authentication. If your network supports PEAP with EAP-MSCHAPv2 auhentication then you could save the EAP-MSCHAPv2 username and password
to settings so that password won't be prompted during the authentication.

 

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

I've been trying to login to our company's WIFI network but keeps getting a failed authentication here is my current settings:

Network status: Hidden
Wlan network mode: Infrastructure hidden
Wlan security mode: 802.1x
Wlan Security settings: WPA/WPA2 - EAP
EAP Plug-in settings: EAP-TTLS
Personal Certificate: Not defined
Authority Certificate: ipsCA Global CA Root IP (provided by company)
Username in Use: from certificate
Username: (left blank)
Realm in use: From certificate
Realm: Left blank
TLS Privacy: OFF

EAPs: PAP
Username: (my username to login to internet)
Password: Prompt

It tries to connect after a 10-15secs it says "EAP-TTLS Authentication Fail!"

Please help...
