    Does Windows 11 have an installation ISO DVD so I can install it on my HP ENVY 23 all in...


    My HP ENVY 23 needs an installation disc for windows 11 so I can get the latest operating system on it because I'm replacing the hard drive and need to reinstall windows. and I want to use the latest operating system on my HP envy 23 when I I do. I hear Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 25, 2025.

    HP Envy 23 DVD Drive no longer working

    Hi, I have just upgraded to Windows 10 on my HP Envy 23 D116a and the DVD drive is not working.

    It shows up in device manager as hp dvd a ds8a9sh, the driver is just a cd-rom driver though, I have tried updating the driver, deleting the driver and restarting.

    When any disc is put in it does not show up in the drives list in file explorer.

    Any ideas on what to try next?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
    • Restart the computer and check.

    If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

    Best way to OS to iso to install?!

    Norton ghost can make ISO's of a HDD but I would just suggest making a whole image and placing it on a thumbdrive cause its faster to install instead of useing a DVD drive.
