Windows 10: Does Windows Backup and Restore works for older versions

I'm currently using windows 11 and planning to roll back to windows 10. I took a backup of my C drive from control panel settings. So does that backup image file which gets created after backup process, run on my newly installed windows 10.

Windows Phone 10: How do I restore an older backup ?

I have a Lumia 640 with Windows Phone 10 OS and lets just say something happened and I need to restore a backup.

I want to know 2 things:

1. How do I restore a backup.
2. How can I change the backup to an older one.

For 1. I want to know the steps I need to take to restore a backup because most ways I found on the internet are focused on users that want to transfer to a new phone. I think I need to reset my phone and it will ask me if I want to restore from a backup
but here comes the 2.

I accidentally pressed "Back up now" after the thing that happened and I believe that overwrote my good backup. My good backup was taken automatically on 18 December (yesterday) and I accidentally made another backup with all the stuff broken on 19 December
(today). So I want the older backup, not the newest.

Please reply ASAP. I can only use my phone as a plain phone and not as an actual Smart Phone until I get this done.

 

File History Cannot Restore An Older Backup Version

Many thanks for the quick response. I studied all the articles, which are informative but don't squarely address my situation. I am trying to restore selected files contained within the older of two completely separate backups. To complicate matters,
the "Configuration" and "Data" folders no longer appear in the older backup (which probably explains why File History can no longer associate with those files).

My goal is to move several thousand files that appear in the older backup back onto the PC, and then merge them with the existing backup. Why not simply copy and paste? Because I want to strip off all of the time stamping from the older backup. I don't
know any way to do this without using the restore function - which no longer works.

Is there any way to automatically strip out the time stamping on the older backup?

Swapping to an older version of windows

Is there still an official way to drop back to an older version of windows, I honestly don't mind using a 3rd party way. If possible, can you list step by step instructions or a link to an easy to use website. Thanks.
